This morning I took a walk down to the look at the ocean, to bask in God's creation, to contemplate life. The following verse came to mind:
"Because of the Lord's great love,
we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
- Lamentations 3:22-23
There is something so beautiful about the morning. The promise of fresh start. The hope of a new day. A new beginning. Another gift of another day on this earth.
A small slice of heaven then we can find here. A tiny reflection of the glory that will be revealed when we get to eternity, when we start forever.
Yes, there is pain here. Yes, there is heartache. Yes, there is loss and despair.
But there is also great hope. There is also great joy. There is also the wonder of all that God has given us to experience here for a time.
No matter what I'm going through, I always find such great hope in the morning. I find such restoration. I find such promise.
The promise that the Lord will never leave or forsake me. The promise that He is working for the good of those who love Him. The hope that He will bring to completion the good work that he started in me.
"Being confident of this,
